A Stockholm perfume house working in numbered compositions. The only brand in the portfolio whose China history predates JusTangerine itself.
The house
SG79 | STHLM takes its name from an address. Sibyllegatan 79 is the Stockholm street address of Romella, the family company founded there in 1954 that sits behind the brand. The compositions are numbered rather than named, and the numbers are not decorative — they are what the perfumes are.
The numbering comes from photographs. The Swedish photographer DAWID drew around twenty images from his Stockholmsbilder series and handed them over to be interpreted freely; French perfumers, among them Céline Ripert, Christian Vermorel and Nadège Le Garlantezec, each worked from one. Because each perfumer chose their own image, the numbering runs unevenly rather than in sequence: the numbers are references, not a running order.
In China
SG79 | STHLM was first brought into China in 2017 by our founder, then at HARMAY, who built its online and offline channels and designed a bespoke digital marketing programme for it. The brand moved with the team when JusTangerine was formed in 2023, and has been under the company's exclusive China representation since.
