A London candle house founded by two brothers, built as much around the vessel as around the wax. Under exclusive China representation by JusTangerine since 2025.
The house
August and Piers Campbell launched AUGUST & PIERS in London in the winter of 2020. It is a small house working in a narrow category — candles and diffusers — and most of what distinguishes it is decided at the level of materials rather than of marketing.
The wax is a blend of soy, beeswax and rapeseed, entirely free of paraffin, burned on cotton wicks. The ceramic vessels are designed in-house and handmade with a bisque finish, which is to say they are built to be kept and refilled rather than thrown out with the last of the wax; the outer packaging is FSC-certified and recyclable throughout. The house also works with the Swedish illustrator Petra Börner, whose drawings carry the collaboration editions.
